The first thing you should know about me is I'm not a writer, and I'm not an expert on self-publishing either. I never worked in the industry, and I don't have any experience working for the big publishers. And, most months, I make a comfortable living from my books. I'm not saying this to brag, but to let you know, I understand what it's like every time you launch a new book. You're rooting for it, waiting for it to take off. The first few days after your KDP free days you're watching, hoping for the signs you've got a best seller. Let me tell you a secret. That's never going to change. You're always going to be anxious, waiting and watching for the results. Understand this: Selling more books is all about how you manage the basics. Misfire on any of them, and you're going to have problems.
