He is a hard worker and helps those in need, especially women and children. When Eli sees an altercation between a man and a woman, he doesn't hesitate to come to the woman's rescue. But when the cops show up, Eli is arrested and thrown in Jail. Using his one phone call he calls Sister Mary Agnes, who comes and bails him out without hesitation.
