Asteroid Belt is Created

Humorous Space Opera. All Commander Nottap wanted was the respect of his father and brothers, as he chose not to follow the family line and join the Neiubo Army. But when he chooses to join the Planetary Developers Corporation, a civilian spacefaring company, it's hard to prove he is as bold as they are. Rising to the rank of Commander wasn't good enough for them; he had to "prove himself." The Governor of Nav Corp has assigned him and a crew to a new state-of-the-art space vessel for the maiden voyage, which is a temporary posting. A simple task: travel to the Chiappaletine nebula, collect gasses, liquids, and metals, test the load capacity and performance of the vessel, and return to port. That is until a call for help comes from planet Aden. They witness an invasive species attack on the Aden people, who stand forty feet tall. The Galactic Council has yet to classify this invasive species as a cosmic bug or Augmented Humanoids. The Governor of Nav Corp pushes them to assist the Adens by using an impact projectile to eradicate the invasive species. Not only were they expecting a mundane trip, but they also had a limited crew, just enough to complete the task of the maiden voyage. As they fumble through the task, Galactic Military Forces are on the way to Aden. Their attempt to assist Aden causes a catastrophic event, which now puts them in the crosshairs of the Galactic Forces. Commander Nottap must now make decisions that will determine the fate of the crew and the Aden people, fight or run. A different perspective is presented; do neither. The crew soon discovers how state-of-the-art the vessel can perform.
