Missy invites Gus home for a warm meal, and he winds up staying. When Mia is kidnapped and held by an obsessed man who accusing her of killing his brother years ago, Kris goes to find her. Abruptly, she disappears, so Pete and the Andersons also travel to Portland, where the virus is rampant, to look for her. Gus is again accused of a murder and jailed, but he breaks out to find the true killer and prove his own innocence. Discovering the slayer is his brother, Brant, Gus trails him, to either bring him in or kill him. In the aftermath of his jailbreak, Kris is murdered. Her death brings Mia back home to work and live.
