Outwardly, your sacrifice must look like this: silent, hidden, permeated with love, imbued with prayer." The devotions are intended to perfect and strengthen our faith, and inspire in us God's strength and consolation to overcome all the spiritual and earthly challenges to our redemption. By these devotions God in His mercy makes actual in ourselves, through the Holy Spirit, the treasures acquired for mankind through Christ's sacrificial life.
